I have worked with Tony for a little over a year, and it has been transformative. Having had chronic back problems for over 30 years, I now just get out of bed and walk downstairs every morning (anyone that wakes up with a stiff back will know just how much of a challenge that is). I am running again regularly, and have lost nearly 10k without even thinking about dieting. Over the years I have seen a number of physios, some very good, and they all had one thing in common, they treated the symptom I presented with, but didn't identify the underlying problem. Consequently, after every bout of physio, I would feel like I was in reasonable shape, but my body would break down again over time. Tony identified the underlying issues and produced a programme to correct the problems. Within 6 months I was a completely different person, including having to buy a new wardrobe because all my trousers are now too big.

The worst thing I had before I met Tony was the constant nerve pain down my right leg. Up to meeting Tony I had seen 2-3 people with no real results and I was almost at a desperate stage as the nerve pain down my leg was highly agitating and frustrating. I knew that the pain was stemming from a couple of bulging discs in my back compressing on the nerves. I had a few reservations before meeting Tony, largely because no one previously had been able to help my situation. Thankfully the last person I saw referred Tony as they had heard good things about him. The process when working with Tony was fantastic. He set out a clear plan for us to work towards. He made it very clear that this wasn’t an overnight fix and would involve all the learnings taken from the CHEK holistic system that Tony had practiced. This not only involved exercises which would eventually get rid of my nerve pain, strengthen my back and core but also changing my diet in order to help with this process. Tony’s method was certainly very different to all those that I had seen before him and forever grateful I went through my journey with Tony. Without a shadow of a doubt, the best thing I achieved with Tony was getting rid of my constant nerve pain, along with now living with a much healthier diet. I honestly believe changing my diet helped enormously with the success I had with Tony’s method. I now live a very healthy lifestyle with no lower back pain and nerve pain down my leg. I’m running again which I thought wouldn’t be possible at one stage. I have even played football again which I definitely thought was not possible. I would have absolutely no hesitation in the world referring Tony. Not only did he change my life for the better, but has also become a close friend. Thanks Tony for everything :)

I had been suffering from chronic and recurrent back pain for several years. I had to give up the things I loved – gardening, golfing – and really getting out and about and enjoying life Tony completed an in-depth assessment, which took about an 2 hours – I couldn’t believe that he’d found areas of my body that weren’t working, that doctors seemed to have overlooked. I wanted my life back so I stuck to the specific exercise program Tony designed for me and tried not to miss an appointment. I love going to his centre, it’s quiet, there are no distractions and I don’t have to wait for equipment as often happens in big gyms. Within 3 months I was back in my garden – having learned how to properly look after my back, and in 6 months I was back on the golf course – and to my amazement had an improved golf swing. When I started training with Tony, I’d had a spinal fusion 18 months earlier and was on Oxycontin and Diagesics for the pain. I could not walk for any length of time without a limp due to a bone graft from my hip. Thanks to Tony’s dedication, talent and his training program I am now off all pain medication.  I thought I’d have the limp for the rest of my life and now it is nowhere to be seen or felt, plainly nothing short of a miracle. My Neurosurgeon had previously discounted any plans for me to return to work, but was stunned by  the progress I’ve made at my last appointment and had now given me the go ahead to return to work.  I am now looking forward to returning to the workforce in October, this is largely due to Tony, his training program – he has given me back my career, my confidence and my life back.

The extent of my Operations in the last ten years would be too many too mention in a Testimonial so I will only refer to my last two operations involving Surgery to my Spine, the first was my Fusion with 10x50mm long screws into my spine & two metal rods through the heads of the screws to support the spine while the fusion took place, the second operation involved one full week in Intensive Care and five months in Hospital with a total of five operations in just under two weeks to remove an infection that had eaten away 50% of a disk in my spine, I then spent three weeks in a Rehab Hospital before finally going home five months and three weeks after first going into Hospital. A friend suggested Tony, firstly because his spine had been fused like mine and secondly she knew his knowledge of the human body was nothing short of incredible so I then obviously decided to go with Tony, that turned out to be the best decision I have made in many years. When I started to train with Tony I was amazed when he said to me we are going to target all the specific muscle groups that we need to work on to get you back to where you were and that is exactly what we did twice a week for just over two months and I knew nothing was going to happen overnight but I did notice I was slowly getting stronger in both my legs and back and then out of the blue came the proof that I was improving when for the first time in about three years I could walk up my steep driveway in a straight line and not go up in a zig zag fashion from side to side because of the lack of strength in my leg muscles I could also feel the extra strength in my calf, thigh, back muscles and core all working much harder so I could walk up in a straight line. So after two years elsewhere and getting nowhere and after only two months training with Tony to be able to walk a straight line up my steep driveway can only be called a major milestone towards getting one’s life back.Tony has not only been a great Coach, Trainer and Mentor but has now become a great friend as well and I am very happy to give him my testimonial in the hope that it will help him as well as help someone else to get their life back like I have.
